Fairfax4Horses would like your help in setting the record straight on equestrian facilities in Fairfax County. A draft report prepared by the Fairfax County Park Authority, "Great Parks, Great Communities," quoted in both the Fairfax Community Times and the Washington Post, says that we have seven equestrian facilities in the county. The report further states that this number of facilities exceeds the standards for equestrian facilities for a county of our size

The Fairfax County Park Authority Board is appointed by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors. The twelve appointees are comprised of one representative from each of the nine magisterial districts, plus three at-large members. The board sets policy and establishes priorities for the park agency. Public meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month at 7:30 p.m. in Suite 927 at 12055 Government Center Pkwy., Fairfax.

As a follow up to the Charity Ride the other weekend, if you have not sent a note earlier, below are two sample letters that you might email as follows. It is important that we keep reminding them that we need equestrian resources.
